Kit for Kids Awarded Best Growing Business in West Kent

At last week’s West Kent Business Excellence Awards not only did Kit for Kids beat off competition in it’s category Best Growing Business but also scooped the overall ‘champion of champions’ prize; being named West Kent Business of the Year. This is a proud moment not only for the company but for industry as a whole proving that both the Education and Retail industries are very much alive and still have room to grow during the economic downturn.
Considerable growth has been seen over the past two years expert designers and manufactures Kit for Kids promoting a move to new premises, employing key staff to enable the creation and development of strategic divisions, building a 2,000m2 warehouse, as well as the successful development into new markets.

At a time of incredible uncertainty to be ranked so highly amongst their peers came as a great source of inspiration for the whole team.

Kit for Kids Director Jan van der Velde was very proud of his company and team members alike, “With so much doom and gloom around at the moment winning these awards has given us renewed strength and renewed hope as well as faith in ourselves to not only succeed but to prevail in the bleak winter months ahead”.

“Winning these awards meant a great deal to the team, not for the sake of winning, but the realisation that what they do and what they achieve is respected and valued”. The inaugural West Kent Business Excellence Awards organised by The Courier Media Group were held last Thursday at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. The packed event was attended by business people, professionals and local dignitaries from throughout the West Kent area.

“Kit for Kids’ outstanding achievement in winning not only the Best Growing Business award, but also being voted the West Kent Business of the Year really does make them the champion of champions. They faced stiff competition but in the end the judges saw the company as standing above all other contenders.” Commented David Hobden, S.E. Business Development Director, The Courier Media Group.

Kit for Kids would like to thank all of their customers for their continued support.
